Post Fountain headroom

Anyone know the headroom in the 35', 38' and 42' Fountains?

Before and after the new "windshield" decks?

Mark,
I looked through all the brochures and couldn't find any numbers. I'll measure my cabin and let you know tomorrow. The 35' classic is not much more than the 32'. The 42' classic has a nice cabin but still shy on headroom. The second vent over the V-berth is a nice option. This month’s powerboat says the new 38' has 4" more headroom. WTF, Just give me the total number.

Yeah I scanned my brochures and the web site, and nothing.

And the boat configurator hasn't worked for me in months. I liked toying with it. It was fun to pick colors, etc. and check options, etc. Of course, the thing I like about Fountain, is in the brochure they at least refer to speeds out of the boats with certain power. I like that, I can at least judge on other power options that way.

Powerquest does a good job on their site with that whole boat setup config thing, and estimated speeds. Nice site.

Now we all know we didn't buy Fountains for the cabin head room.

My best guess on the cabin room would be long, skinny and short.

Mark,
My cabin is 184" long. At the door the headroom is 53" and just before the V-berth it is 49". The enclosed head is very small. I think the 42' classic has about 10" more headroom. Have you seen this months issue of PB? They tested the new 38 Lightning with 575's. The boat ran 92.2 on radar. It retails at $361,135.00. That’s a lot of candy.

Dan-All I know is the cabin is pretty small for a boat that big. And you have entirely to much time on your hands, LOL. Hey, if there was room for a threesome in the Baja, I'll be lost in that fountain.

Chad,
Work is real slow right now. The better half is at work helping support the toys. I'm in my office ignoring a large pile of paper work.
Have you ever compared the 35 to the 42 side by side? It’s not just the length but the height of the hulls. The 42's are big boats! Are cockpits are the only thing that is the same size.

What is your headroom?

GATORONE,
We can all bash the new look of the lightnings but there is a lot more usably space in the cabins. I just didn't realize it was that much. I was in a 42' and was surprised at how much additional room was added with the new decks. Do you have a 35' and how do you like it? I promise no windshield comments.
Thanks,
Dan

I'm hoping to go out to the shop on Sunday afternoon to play with the boat. I want to get the dash apart, and I'll measure the cabin. I am also plotting out my stereo installation. After the Baja, there will be some big expectations for my stereo power. My old boat (which I still own) was so load and clear. Alpine and Cerwin Vega, though the only only boat I admittidly thought was loader than mine had MB Quartz, I think I will buy some of those this run. I am putting six under the back seat, a few in those side holes, and I'm going to see if that arch may work, I'm not sure. The Dildo that had it before me, raped the stereo. He actually put a deck in that has knobs on each side. LOL Thats a crime in a boat like that.
