Thinkng of switching from trs to bravo drives what is involved.
I know konrad makes a direct bolt on but I would like to not have a trans and get a little more room in the engine compartment and a little less weight aswell.

I'm in the midst of doing the change to my 1984 Excalibur 31.
You have to fill the transom hole and redrill it, but then you can pick the "X" dimension that you want. What kind of engine mounts do you have at this time, offshore?
What size is your boat? What power are you planning on running?

I am looking for the defference in inches between TRS and Bravo from the center of prop shaft to most top of the outer Transom Plate on the outside. Could anyone get the measurement for me on TRS & Bravo, thanks.

before you invest any cash i would consider Konrads. Might actually be cheaper in the long run. BAM tranny you dont have that much hp loss, konrad i believe has 1yr warranty up to 800hp and konrad has very little if any failure to date. The downside is the initail cost is high. But after you loose acouple of bravos it levels out.
good luck
