Why would anyone pi$$ away $$$$$$$ on a 1000hp and an arneson drive in a 29 Fountain... You'll blow drives and run out of hull real quick... Take that boat and all of those $$$$$
and put them towards a boat that is meant to run in the
90's-100mph................
A Skater, an Activator etc. etc. or buy yourself a 38 with staggered motors that will run safe and fast in most conditions....
I own a 29 with a 525 and she is a great boat for what she is. An extra 100hp would spice her up a bit, but beyond that you are looking for trouble....
Good Luck....

There was a dentist from somewhere inMayland that ran a 750+hp 29 Fountain in P-Class. Art Lilly rigged the boat and said anything above 87 and the boat got way out of hand very easy unless the water was glass smooth.

I love the boat but have become bored with it. The lake I spend my time on doesn't get rough, so a bigger boat would be very boring. Kind of like driving around a cabin cruiser all day. AS far as putting the money into the boat, yes I never would get it back out of it but I would enjoy building it and having something different.

I have a 29 with twin 502's. It's a great boat and will run about 75 or 76 with the right load. I dont think it would be safe to drive much faster. If you caught a wave just wrong at the kind of speed your talking about you could be heading for disaster. Not to mention a bravo wont support that kind of power and live very long.
Have fun but be safe!

Make sure your lake is not too small for the speed you want to do - given it's too small for a longer hull. Maybe you want a Skater?? I ask myself that alot....
