Paul, I put a call into a friend that is a rep for Forward Air. F/A is a LTL hub based carrier and not the way I'd go - you want it handled little as possible (trust me, I was in freight sales a bunch of years ago). I asked for a call back for a referral, he might know of a truck coming back empty. give me a day.

Update - give me the exact dims / piece count and weight (weights) and declared value and I'll get you a quote with the 'home town discount" and in touch with my buddy. Looks like can get it nose loaded and untouched right thru to Boston. (I'm sure you'd have no problem getting it from there yourself)
