Question 2003 29 ft SC575 How fast? What prop. size?

I have just purchased my 03 29 fever with a supercharged 575. 50 hours. awesome boat. How fast should this boat run? Ive been told low 90s? Or is it mid 80s? Im running a 28 prop.

As I recall, the claim was 84 mph. But, you can but a Super Chiller on that blower without a lot of trouble and it's not stupid expensive. That will probably get you into the 90's. But, the hull is very jumpy going that fast...... Congrates and good luck!

the 29 is a low to mid 80 mph boat with the 575sci. The only thing you will have to work on is getting the boat on plane. I have a friend that has one and has tryed everything to get the boat to come on plane fast. My twin 35 comes out like a jet ski . and the 29 single is a LOT slower. Good luck with your new ride.

I am sure it depends on your X dimension but I got 86 with a stock 30" Bravo 1 at 5500 with a 1.5 gear.

That should be an awesome boat!

Awesome! Enjoy

I don't care how fast it can go, just looking at the 575's does it for me!

I also had a 28 Maximus. It was a few hundred rpm lower than the B1 as well as top speed was down 4. The cruise speed was fantastic! 55-60 was 3500. The teeth all feel off the XZ after 3 hours and I'm not saying it was the prop but I had 30 hours on the B1 30 with no problems. I posted the rpm versus mph somehere?

I still got the prop but I want to try it on the 38 before I sell it which means I also need a 28 LH.
