Got Ilmors - Look at what's going to Power my 38

Re: Got Ilmors - Look at what's going to Power my 38
When they took out 525's and sat one of the Ilmors in the boat they found that the Ilmor sat a little taller in the boat - The motor was off by about half an inch from bolting to the drive. So after doing a lot of research they have decided they need to reglass the back of the boat and cut holes for the drives a little higher.
When they get that done and everything back together we'll test it to see how it does coming on plane and how it feels in the water. It might be that the X will be too high at that point, so we can then either space it down or put extension boxes on it to get the drives deeper.
I'll let you know when we test it.

Jim Dykes up in Cleveland. Their shop was filled with race boats so I think these guys really know how to rig a boat for top speed.
How are you engines coming - and where the Nor-Tech picks you have been promising

IM glad you took it to him. im sure he will do a great job. The engines for the Nor-tech are at Dean Gellner Eng. Hes up grading everything from Sterling like valve train, Coopernickel (SP)inntercoolers. Jesel rockers. Balance & blue print. They should be perfect when he is finished.
