New Fountain Owner

Hello everyone, well I finally did it and joined the higher end of power boating. This past sunday after weeks of negotiation I bought my first fountain. It's a 1995 27' fever that is in great shape. I will be looking for some info on these boats, I have alredy read the post on drive spacers and a few other ones. Ok 1st question is the boat has a 509that was dynoed at over 600hp. What kind of speeds can I expect from the boat and will I benifit from a drive spacer with this much hp, The boat is very well equiped with full hyd steering, large k planes and much more. Any help would be greatly appriciated and anyone from S Nj or PA that boats in the delaware or maryland please let me know, I am always looking for new boaters to run with. Thanks, Tom

First if you are pushing 600hp with the right prop you should be in the 80mph range +- some. Let me first tell you a 27 can be very unstable at that speed so take your time and get used to it.

Also another piece of advise, all 27 Fever fuel gages are inacurate, so when that baby hits a quarter tank you better be on your way to the marina (seriously)

Congrats on your new ride you are going to love it,
