Rough water and Velocity should not even be in the same sentance!

I agree, about the 24, its a ski boat, flat water 2-3" chop great. but you probably want something more. If you like Pantera, their was a 28 Pantera in general discussion forsale that the guy passed away and his wife just wanted it gone. You really should follow up on it. I will tryt o find the link.

Cosmic12, no need to apologize we all know the 24 Fountain was not designed for rough water. In the old Fountain catalog that had this boat Fountain even states it is designed as a go-fast small inland lake ski boat. Just something different than the usual ski boat.
Hey, us Fountain guys over here can take a beating and keep on going...just like Fountain boats!

A good friend of mine has a 97 24CS. He racks it off of Lake Erie, at the downriver end of the Detroit River system. I've ridden in it in 2-3's and it wasn't pretty, but it's a very strong runner (75mph with a 502 MPI) and a solid boat.
He spends a fair amount of time trailering it to some of the larger inland lakes in Michigan, and ski's and tubes with it. When it's rough on Lake Erie, he'll spend most of his time on the river. As others have said, it's a great ski boat.
One thing is for sure, in the rough your body will give up before the boat does!
Good luck,
Brian
