Need a new cooler
I'm breaking the cooler lining in the boat, just noticed it yesterday. I guess it don't like being full of beer and ice and running in 4' seas at a high rate of speed. How much are these things? Want to get ballpark figures before I go calling N.C. Its replacement is not a high priority right now........unless it's relatively cheap!

Re: Need a new cooler
One of many posts on this subject. I hear Fountain has copied my idea on the new boats?

That looks a hell of a lot cheaper! Nearly 300 for a piece of plastic that will just probably break again unless I put some kind of jockstrap under it! Are you able to shoot a pic of the drain setup. Can I just get some parts from West Marine and drill a hole? Thanks for the info!

Re: Need a new cooler
I did have to buy a barbed drain fitting from West Marine and hooked up the stock hose to it with a little silicone sealer. It does not leak but I get a slight amount of condensation under the cooler but less than the stock Fountain cooler. If you went with the completely removable cooler design (no Fountain lid), you could leave the stock drain but you would still get the condensation.

Check this out. We bought one for $100.00 monogrammed, holds 60 beers and 2 bags of ice and fits under our back seat.
