Insurance for 42' 2005 Executioner
Thinking about putting together a 2005 42' Executioner, with 600 HP, Bravo drives, on a trailer. I boat on the Great Lakes have a good driving record, and older than I would like to ADMIT!! Boat with trailer should be valued at $200.000.00
What should I expect? Paying $1000.00 per year on a 2001 358 Sonic now. |

Re: Insurance for 42' 2005 Executioner
Downtown, is your policy an agreed value policy? What is your lay up period?

Re: Insurance for 42' 2005 Executioner
My 38 is a 99. I pay 948/year. Insured for 125k I am 30 years old with a clean driving record. Having a clean record helps a bunch. Oh. I am with progressive.

Lay up is Nov thru March. Great Lakes Mississippi river inland lakes only. If I went to FL or Gulf, Ocean I would have to call and prob pay a surcharge. 2100 deduct. Never had a boat claim in 20+ yrs of boating. With boats like what we are all mostly buying an Agreed Value policy is the only safe way to go. |
Re: Insurance for 42' 2005 Executioner
My guess would be $1500 if you have other items insured with them also.

Re: Insurance for 42' 2005 Executioner
Thanks for the replies, I'm getting some very positive figures, and it looks like the insurance won't be an ISSUE. I will be giving Bob at World Wide a call on Monday and see what he can come up with.

Re: Insurance for 42' 2005 Executioner
When we had our 35 Lightning, tried to go thru progressive. Once I said I lived in NC, they said sorry, no boats over 30' could be insured by them in a "costal state". Didn't matter that we don't even live on the coast or planned to use it in the ocean. WorldWide and Total Dollar were both over $1600; Wordwide was right at $3000 and my driving record is perfect. Ended up going with Total Dollar and then ended up selling the 35 after a couple of months and later bought a 292 Fastech (which is for sale at a really low price, if anyone is interested). Got insurance thru state farm for that boat for $347 per year with no layup, and very low deductible!
