Default Dash/Cockpit storage for 42 Ex

Hey Downtown, TomTBone and all youse guys with 42 Ex's. How do store your wallet, keys, sunscreen, etc on your boat? I kinda miss the glovebox on my ol' Baja to put all that stuff in. I'm thinking about using velcro or suction cups to attach a plastic storage box to the dash below the windshield.

Sunscreen flat bottle fits in the pass handrail. Keys etc. in duffle bag in cabin, on the floor of course

Or get one of those gay "belt type" waist bags and hook to bottom of seat stands for easier access.

Did you get a 42? pix?

So glove boxes are not included in a 42? Damn, I thought cup holders were scarce in Fountains.

My '32 has both, and big cup holders at that. (At my doings I should add)

I sure did! 2005 staggered 525's. Same graphics as the pic on the Fountain website for the Ex. Its still on the trailer in a storage shed while the cradle is being built so no pics yet.

Good idea. I'll look around. Hopefully I won't have to shop in Montrose(Gay area of Houston) to find one!

Actually my friends with a 42 Lightning use a multi-pocket bag on their cabin floor and they know where everything is. But a glovebox IS easier.

on the portside of the innerliner in front of the seat to the left.you can cut a hole and put a white plastic recessed box.be carefull when cutting. west marine part#6871248 the box is 6-1/2h 18''w and 4 1/2 deep works great.
