Default 29 Fountain windshield alternatives?

I found a nice 29 fountain with the high-profile windshield. It looks good, but I think the low profile would look better, and would even consider the race fairing for looks. has anyone ever swapped? what are the costs? easy job? Anyone have photos of the race fairing?

post this in the Chicago Boat Club forum. Or do a search. Someone in chi town fabricates them. I'm guessing a couple grand area. Maybe you can off your windshield to someone in LOTO, lots of boat damage down there.
A race fairing will make 100% difference to the better.

If you have any luck, I'd like one too.

I just recieved a new race faring for a customers 35 fountain from fountain and what a load of crap it was! The paint was terible, it was chiped, it was loose in the box, they forgot the hardware and it was over 4000.00 dollars. If you can find a good reproduction from somewhere else go for it. Good luck Matt

I called fountain for pricing. Apparently for the 29- no race fairing is available, but they have the low profile windshield but it costs 7k!!!!!
no thanks! I'd like to get in touch with the aftermarket version for this.

We're building a windshield now for a 32'. It's a low profile raked down version of the 42 X windshield. It's looking pretty sweet and not too hard to fabricate. Post a pic of what you've got and I'll tell you if this one will work or maybe we can build a custom one for you too.
