38 Fountain with 700's

I compare the 38-39 Cigarette's to a 42 Fountain as well. I've been on both boats and a 42 Fountain overall size of boat (cockpit, cabin, depth, wetted hull running surface size) is more simular to a 38-39 Cig than the 38 Fountain is.
So it seems like the 39 Cig's are running the same speed now as a 42 Fountain?

Here's a pic of the tattle-tale on my 600 boat (first run --- it's so tight when you spin the prop w/ your hand it immediatly stops!
). So, we're expecting 1-2 MPH more, before changing anything.
Running on 5 blade Max's.

Seriously, no slamming here... I truly expected to see the 42 run much faster. Was that at WOT, 5400 RPM's?
