what paint scheme did you decide on?

did you do any sanding in your bilge before you put on the bilgecoat??........it looks amazing

US1, I like the 1st pic with the cover on the best, but if my painter keeps putting me off then I will keep the signature graphics and figure out a way to bring some red into the scheme. As far as prep work for the bilge I used degreaser, brushes and rags followed by acetone, once the paint was applied it settled into a smooth shiny finish that is easy to clean.

looks very nice, I like it. Like both paint schemes too.

I should be getting the boat back from my painter today! For now we just painted the race fairing, touched up the existing graphics and fixed some chips and scratches in the gel. Now I still have to put the new dash panel in, dash pod with boost & fuel press. gauges, the interior sidepanels, bolster seats, the new vinyl pad on the fairing, new rubrail, new thru hull fittings, power steering fluid, drive oil, exhaust tips and probably a few more things.....its gonna be a long weekend! Good thing I am taking Friday off!

Man, that's a lot of work. But, it looks OUTSTANDING!

Hey Indy how many coats did you put down in the bilge? Also how much paint did you use? I am about to do the same with my bilge and I don't want to get come up short. Thanks bro.

Chuck

Chuck,
I did 2-3 coats depending on the area and it took 2 quarts to do the job. Bad news for me.......my painter is not getting my boat back to me until next week!

CAPTAIN CHUCK 05-03-2007 05:23 PM

Thanks for the info Indy.... You need to go lite a fire under that painters ass!!!! :evilb: Good luck bro... I am looking forward to the finished product. You have an awesome boat and you do very good work on it.
Take care,
Chuck
