That engine compartment looks familiar. The new engines look great. Best of luck. Tom |
Re: My 35 Fountain project....
CLEAN! Which 35 model are you working on?
|
Re: My 35 Fountain project....
Mike,
It is a 99' model, MegaByte*3 was the original owner of the boat. Thanks for the compliments! :D |
Re: My 35 Fountain project....
Very Nice! Looks and power.
I want to paint my bilge to restore that bright white, but pulling the motors to do it right means it ain't gettin done.:) Plus why dress up a plain jane 502 mpi show room. What type of paint? |

Having a hard time deciding on grahics though, I have thought about keeping the signature graphics and changing the 1/2" black stripe to red or going with one of these, what do you guys think?

Re: My 35 Fountain project....
I really like the one in the 1st pic with the cover on. I dont know if a 1/2 in red line will give it enough red? Either way, you should probably save your money for all of the drives you will be popping!

I agree with the first pic of the one with the cover on. Your boat looks awsome though.:evilb:

Re: My 35 Fountain project....

Well?... :chimp: :chick: :bunny: :mouse: :chimp: |
How about the paint?
|
Not yet, still have to finish the fuel system and put the seats & dash back in, my paint guy keeps telling me next week every week! :(
|
looks awesome
|
what paint scheme did you decide on?
|
did you do any sanding in your bilge before you put on the bilgecoat??........it looks amazing
|
US1, I like the 1st pic with the cover on the best, but if my painter keeps putting me off then I will keep the signature graphics and figure out a way to bring some red into the scheme. As far as prep work for the bilge I used degreaser, brushes and rags followed by acetone, once the paint was applied it settled into a smooth shiny finish that is easy to clean.
|
looks very nice, I like it. Like both paint schemes too.

Man, that's a lot of work. But, it looks OUTSTANDING!
|
Hey Indy how many coats did you put down in the bilge? Also how much paint did you use? I am about to do the same with my bilge and I don't want to get come up short. Thanks bro.
Chuck |
Chuck,
I did 2-3 coats depending on the area and it took 2 quarts to do the job. Bad news for me.......my painter is not getting my boat back to me until next week! |
Thanks for the info Indy.... You need to go lite a fire under that painters ass!!!! :evilb: Good luck bro... I am looking forward to the finished product. You have an awesome boat and you do very good work on it.
Take care, Chuck |
