Where is the best place to put the registration numbers on a 42 EX? Don't want to have them look out of place. Numbers will be color of graphics, for right now my graphics are nothing fancy, STEALTH GRAPHICS. Black, Purple, with Gray outline, and White shadow.

Yup, what he said. About half of the cost of the sales tax too.

I start at the 2nd stanchon (bow rail) and work back towards cockpit. I like mine rather than on the front bow where you can't see them.

Even when doc., don't you still have to put a 'Port Of xxx' on the transom?

I had mine made up at a vinyl lettering shop with yellow as the main with purple outlining, stuck up front under the rail. Fretted forever on the colors, fonts, location. But after all is said and done, never even think about them anymore.

Granted no one wants to install them, or use a coloring of their choosing, but my guess is many of us are not within the regulations for size, fonts and color. I know my bright yellow lettering is not legal, but the CO's here are not so much conscerned about the details as long as we have them.

a "hailing port" under the name, yes.

not "port of..."

ie; my display under IMAGER on the transom is not "port of Alexandria Bay N.Y."

it is "Alexandria Bay N.Y."

the "port of" is assumed.

just to clear that up
