I just checked an old Fountain brochure I have. It is from 1991 or 1992. It lists the 42 with twins at 8700 lbs and the triple at 9800 lbs.
I had a 1991 triple, and thought that the performance report said it was 9900 lbs.
I hope this helps you out.

Good Luck

I also have an old brochure, I believe it is from 89 or 90. Lists your boat as a 40' lightning, 42' centerline with swim platform. Weight with twin 454 mags is 8500 lbs

Centerline is the measurement from front to rear at the center of the boat. The 89 models were measured centerline without the swim platform added. I believe late 90-91 models and to present give the total length including swim platform. So the 40' lightning is the same length as todays 42. I have a 1990 27 fever, but is actually 29'. An 89 model titled 1990. Hope this helps

My 05 is 10300. Must be a heavy swim platform.
