I'm gonna guess boat and trailer will be about 7500 - 8000 lbs before gas, gear, etc.

my 89 with twin small blocks on a steel tandem axle trailer wieghs with 1/2 tank of gas and all our chit for a weekend wieghs 9500......is the truck a long box??......I pulled mine for two yrs with a full size Blazer and a 350 and it was pretty(very) scary handling wise......you can eat your burger and fries while driving with the 3/4 ton Suburban I have now......your Hemi should have the power but I know it can be pretty hilly in NY state.......IMO u should be in pretty good shape if the truck is a longbox..........doug

A single BB weighs 5800 dry and can hold 130 gal of fuel. Add that, 1000 for an aluminum trailer at least and other stuff, you can figure 8000 as safe bet. Tack on another BB engine and I'm thinking that's got to put another 1000 in there. (I know that the twin SB's in a 29 adds 700) You can call Fountain and probably get a dry weight spec for an older boat.

My 1990 with twin 454's weighs 6415lbs according to Fountains performance report. That is a dry weight so figure in fuel, other crap and trailer.

With a 4.10 axle I think your truck is rated to pull 8300lbs. You might be over that. It will certainly pull it, but it will be quite a dog and you will certainly feel every bit. Check your trailer hitch too.

Get a cummins and have some fun.

I weighed my '91 27' w/ a single 502 @ 7100 lbs on an aluminum tandem axle trailer with a full (63 gallon) tank and all the "stuff" needed for a day on the water (less cooler/beverages).

Add another axle to the trailer, another 2 ft on the boat, another big block, and another drive, and i'd say you're looking at towing 8500-9000 lbs. Not accounting for any extra fuel capacity.

Amen brother!

Even if you can tow it remember your tranny,i would of thought you would have no problem with a hemi. But everytime you go that close to your limit, your tranny starts to work overtime.
