Who's the hardest core Fountain guy on OSO??
#2
I have had 2 Fountains 1992 & 1998 the latter is my present boat. I do all my repairs myself short of major overhaul or internal drive work. I have crawled around in both my boats and seen them from the inside from a pretty uncomfortable veiw, and the end of the "BS" for me is from what I have seen about workmanship and design in my two boats is that I feel safe about the hull that me my famly and freinds are going across the Lake Ponchatrain in. (And the ponchatrain gets nasty yea!) Fountains are great riding and well mannered hulls that can be mastered by even some of the most novice of boaters in ther stock powered forms. They are very forgiving and in my OPINION some of the toughest hulls out there. So in closing I'll just say that in spite of all the crap above FOUNTAINS JUST RULE AND THATS ALL THERE IS TO IT!!!!!! And you know this.......MAN!!!

Back 4 - that complete refit you did on your 42......turned out awesome......Ive always thought guys who dug that far into their boat were real hardcore, literally knowing every nook and cranny and every wire and fitting.......and keeping it after its done........to me thats hardcore.
And oh yeah DT is hardcore.......sometimes I cruise through other manufacture fourms and I see DT was in there giving them chit.......thats HC
As far as sticking up for Fountain that SLANDREW guy was pretty HC too
