1997 38 Fever

Anyone on the BOARD have one? If so, what do you know? What do they weigh and what power are you running? What kind of performance do you see? Will it run with 502 Mag MPI's or will I be sad- I am looking to move up . . . thanks for any info.:drink:

1999 38 Fever. 500hps half gas- 78 to 80. Maybe a couple mph better if my power wasnt so tired. They are due. 26p hydro 4 blades. YOur boat should run 74-75 with those motors. Good boat. its very solid and handles great.

Thanks for the info. I am in an old, slow 311, so 74mph is hauling the mail to me. Had been looking at the 42- but the 38 seems like a good fit for what I am trying to do.

I own a 1998 38 fever with 500s and run 77 with some tacky 27p hydros still learning the boat. handles like a dream.haveing trouble docking 'use to single motors'.wouldnt run anything else. :D

Docking a twin is soooo much better than a single, Brian. Once you get the hang of it you won't believe you ever got a single backed into a slip. I am a little put off by the "no walk around" situation. My boat and my pop's 35 Lightning (or do I have this backazzwards?- fever no walk, lightning walk, right?) both have them and it is super handy . . . and avoids unfortunate windscreen breakage . . . .

Are the 600sc's rated at the crank or prop? They are 550hp, correct? If so, that is a pretty well dialed in set-up?

Fever no walkaround but more room in the cockpit to party. I have a race fairing on my 38 so it is a little better jumping over. My 102lb girlfriend is in charge of the bow duties though not me.
