Default 96 32 fever single step

My buddy has a 1996 32 fever single step and was rear ended so now he is going to buy new drives. I told him to go with Xr's with Imco 1" shorter lowers. Has anybody else done that and what was the results??

Thanks

I'd love to see pics of the damage. I always wondered how a boat would fare if rear ended while on the trailer.
