Well I could give it away, would that make more sense.
Thanks for the opinions! |
the boat is here on lake norman, its the cleanest fountain you will find from 94 to 2000. Boat looks brand new and has some real big power with no expenses spared on parts. Anyone looking for a 27 needs to check it out
|
I think 48k is a reasonable asking price for a extra clean boat with those mods, I am asking 52k obo for my 96 27' that also has extensive mods and is extra clean, you can find 27's for less but what you will find mostly are boats in poor condition, no upgrades and may not even have a trailer.

Engine Shot. It really is a work of art. A great deal for someone.
|
Thats impressive! Lots of time and money, for those who dont appreciate the investment you could always offer the boat with a stock 502 and exhaust a lower price and sell your engine & headers separately.

I sold my 95 with a 454 mag that 415 hours on it, otherwise mint condition on a 1 year old myco for $39K and that was 3 years ago.
Had full WPM steering and all the normal stuff from Fountain. Just as a price point. |
This hull has 220 hours on it and the motor has less than 90. Drive has 2 weekends on it. Full Latham hydro steering. I dont catch the comparison to a 454 with 415 hours.
I do need to sell it. Insurance is killer for a young man. Now I have this and a 32 Skater and it is getting outrageous. |
Send me pictures to [email protected]. And pictures of the stereo please.

Can you change the motor back to stock power, or is it to far along? Mine was also a blower motor, boat was also in mint condition and a brand new B1 do to hitting an underwater rock. Lathem steering, white out package, white leather cabin as opposed to the grey cabin from around that era, and all the regular Fountain HP stuff. I put the motor back to stock (HP465 with 1 yr of rebuild time on it), sold the blower package separately, and sold the boat in less than a month. Had numerous calls on it. This was back in '03. So an 9 yr old boat then. Sold it for a little less than your current asking price, but came out about the same after the blower was sold. Just a thought.
I really liked the US1 graphics. simple yet nice. Good luck. |
I had a 95 27ft. Yellow Fountain Fever, H.P. 500 with a pro charger on it, IMCO polished shorty, 200hrs. m/l sold it for 56 K. In 2000. She was a great boat, but scared me, about 85 mph. it would kind of take off and start to fly across the water, my nads weren't big enough to keep it, wish I new how to post pix, because it was very pretty.
Reggie drove it from the factory, and could not believe how good the paint had held up. Good Luck in selling yours, remember there's a seat for every ass. :D |
all you guys having a 1999 to 2001, 27 ''on the list'' for sale, send me pm or e-mail with description and price. need to find a 27 fever, 500 EFI or 496 HO no smaller engine, trailer, and I'd think cabin, If no cabin, do you think it could be done afterwardd?
Thanks |
they all have cabins.......have you ever seen one ??.......theyre pretty small.........if you want to sleep in it best to modify the whole thing into one giant bed like I did to my 29......doug
|
The market BLOWS........You almost have to give them away......your boat is real nice though....
|
TTT - Just putting it back on the radar.

Selling boats
I think its a buyers market for offshore boats. It will only continue to get better for buyers. Lets face it. Gas is getting ridiculous and so is our dollar. These boats burn a lot of gas and take a lot of dollars to own. The economy is also taking a dump and I think if your selling a boat today or in the next years to come you are gonna be in for a slow sale and a low sale. Its only gonna get worse. I am considering a boat purchase right now and Im not going to be paying asking price, NADA value, low blue book value, etc, because it doesn't matter. What matters is if you want the money pit in your garage or storage space gone or not. Sucks but its gonna be reality really soon.

Thanks for the market analysis.
