Default 32's with carbed HP 500's????

Do the approx '99 models have inserts in the hatches for clearance for the flame arrestors and taller hatch pads? I know the 500 EFI's do, to clear the CMI exhaust, just not sure on the carbed models with SM or Gil exhaust, thinking the arrestor is the highest point.

I had a 1991 with 500s it cleared with plenty of room. Do you need some 500efis?

I wonder if your yr boat had a lower x-dim than mine does, sitting the motors lower in the bilge? Not 100% sure though, but was the case between my '94 27 and late 90's 27.

We had a 2000, with 500 Carb. motors. It had a box under the swim pad for clearance. The pad was raised just slightly.

Thanks. I assume you are thinking the engine hatch pad when saying swim pad. The 2000 with EFI's hatch looked about 2-3" taller than what mine is. Just the rear most hatch section, not the forward head rest section. Sound about right?

Sorry, thats right, engine hatch. From Fountain the only thing that I remember not liking about it was the corners of the box, under the upholstry were very sharp. I was worried that eventually they would cut the upholstry. But is was only 2-3 inch difference. I thought I still had some pictures but cant seem to put my hands on the. It was before digital cameras.
