If you were in the area this year for the run, I would have seen you go by. I was standing on my dock at the marina watching everyone go by. I didnt do the run myself cause I had to work and had some other stuff scheduled. But I did get to watch everyone go down the Ohio and back up. My marina is located just below the West End Bridge. Down river of that beautiful Heinz Field.

I will definately get in touch with you when the time is ready if you still have her.

Very nice cosmic - what kind of HP does it take to push it to 85?

Hi RollWithIt,
I live in Boardman Ohio about an hour from Pitts. My stepfather and I mainly run at Berlin Lake, Lake Erie and the river near E. liverpool. I would love to spend a day near downtown Pittsburgh but we dont want to waste a lot of time with locks. I heard about a ramp near 18th st and Carson on the Southside. Do you know this ramp? I'm having a hard time finding
a good facility for launching near the city. Is all my time and phone calls researching this worth the trouble? I just seems like it would be fun to ride around the point and check out all the sights from the water. My stepfather and a friend of his both have 28' Nordics and mine is just a 20 foot cuddy. (saving for a fountain!)

Thanks for any info you can give us.

Tom

The boat is owened by a very good friend of mine and I told him about the one that started this post for what was it , 53--54??? while being a very nice boat it isn't anywhere near as nice as his. You could buy that one for say 53k and still have to put over 30k into it to get it as nice as his. This 35 is a one owner boat that has been kept inside all its life and pampered as well. It has spent a year at Fountian getting all updates.. The upol was done there as well as the dash and controlls ect-ect-ect. The motors started as 454 mags but have been redone completely with all the best of the best not a dime spared. They where never dynoed so we don't know the exact HP but B-Blades & Hydromotive figures that to be running mid 80s in that boat there has to be 550 to 600 hp at the props. There are probly only about 50 hrs on them if that. I have gotten alot of PMs on this and the interest is over welleming. The orignal thought was that if someone where to come up with 68,500. it could be bought, but now he is doing a rethink on it because he can't replace it for anywhere near that money ( he wants a 42 or a Cig). This truly is a perfect boat and way beyound better than new, hell the garage it lives in is beeter than alot of house's. Also the over kill Eagle trailer that it is on is with out a scratch and perfect and it was used on the cover of there catalog the year it was built. Let him think about it and keep the message's comeing if you are really interested. You just never know. Thanks for all the responce's Mark

I definately know this ramp. Its the free city ramp for people to use. There is plenty of parking space there. The problems is that you have to deal with alot of idiots that use it also. Ive also been told of some other issues such as vehicles getting broken into and that the ramp drops off shortly after the trailer enters the water. Ive personally never used the ramp. Im just going off of what I hear. I keep my boat at my family's boat marina on the Ohio just below the point. We have our own launch ramp at our facility. So Its kinda convenient for me. You guys would be more than welcome to launch at our facility. You can click on the link on my post for Newport Marina or gimme a call if you have any questions. 412-523-3562. Its definately worth checking out the Pittsburgh waters.
