That's great! Back in 1997 at the Ft. Myeres APBA race I went to the bar and Reggie was there sitting and having a coke. I sat there for a minute with him and asked him some questions. He was very cool about it.

Hopefully Joker (Hollis) will chime in with his Reggie meeting! It is the best ever story.

Always like to see Reggie at events like this. Really adds some much needed cohesion to the race.

My wife and I sat in the bleachers on the point of the Shady Gator during the sunday races with Reggie and his girlfriend. We were timing little Reggie III, that was throttling the Reliable Carriers cat. He was telling me all the changes that were done on the boat the night before. Wyatt throttled the "Micasukee" boat in the SLV class.
When I compared the times it took the cat to make 1 lap, I was really surprised how close it was to the V-bottom. Only seconds apart.

was in the dry pits at an APBA race in Toronto awhile back......we see a small crowd around one of the non factory Fountains....I think it was Instigator.......go over to check it out.......guess who pops out of the bilge?....Reggie himself.......down there wrenching on the boat with his shiney street shoes, slacks and dress shirt.......gets out, wipes his hands, shakes all our hands and says......"Thanks for coming out guys, have a god day at the races"........cool guy, ya gotta admit.

When Reggie has the races at the Fountain factory he opens all the services up to everyone and any brand of boat. He is pretty cool that way.

I remember in Buffalo 2000 when little Reggie shows up for the E Class race with a non- legal boat and I had to question his boat as it did not fit the rules...I was the E Class tech inspector at that time ...big Reggie was not to happy about that. Anyway long story short Richard Granville whom at the time owned Warlock really wanted little Reg to race his Fountain against all the Warlocks becuase it was a really rough water race. Ritchy Rich thought there was no way lil'Reg could beat him. Well the only problem with the boat was lil Reg stripped the entire boat and it no longer fit the E-Class rules and there was some sort of weird black box cool fuel deal I found but the boat still weighed more than the rules minimum and more than the Warlocks. Fountain removed the black box fuel cooler deal and It was fine with me and all the other E Class guys so off they all went to race. Lil Reg could really drive that 29 Fountain and ran off from the Warlocks which were the dominate rough water boat in both E Class and F1. That was the same race Benny Robertson got lapped in his F1 29 Fountain and when Benny pulled up to the crane Reggie was fuming mad at him and jumped in the boat and took it out and ran 8mph faster! Benny and Reggie got back and I asked Benny how was it and Benny said the oldman can still drive!
