Horseplay- Sorry you haven't found any common ground here. They have not built that many 48s and the the people that own them probably do not lurk around this board. The 48 is an incredible boat . Look me up in about 10-100 years I will probably have one.

Can you elaborate on the broken props. Does it throw blades, or crack the hub or what? What is the drive arrangement? Surface drive, outdrive or inboard?
Inquiring minds want to know???

hey jaws
boat is an 2006, i bought the boat in august new, always had go fast with big power, only have about 68 hours, cummins 425's, have heard about the broken props, spoke to herring, with the surface drives, when you over trim , boat rides too far out on the blades and stresses the blades ,jim herring has helped me alot over the years with many boats, i take what he says seriously, if you speak to the factory they have a different story, i try not to over trim , boat is awesome, runs about 60 top end. not bad for a 30,000 pound+ boat cruises nice at 55
