If my memory serves my correctly I test drove a 1998 32 Fever with 502 Mags and got a little over 75mph. I was deciding on this boat or the new 29 Fever with a HP500 that I ultimatly bought backin November 1999.

I have had my 1998 32' single step Fever for three seasons. It is powered by 502/415 motors with Gil headers and risers like you will find on a 500 HP. I am very pleased with the performance thus far. Last year I bought a pair of used Bravo I 30's. My son and I took it out in early Spring last year. It was a cool (62 F) day with a brisk breeze. Running with the current and the breeze my new GPS speedometer recorded 84 mph. Turning around and making a run in opposite direction into the current and breeze I could only get 78 mph for an average of 81 mph. I was extremely pleased since I could only get 78 mph out of my old Bravo I lab finished 28's. The problem with the strong Bravo 30's is one would only tach 4900 rpm's and the other one was hard on the rev limiter. So, I sent them off to be matched up and lab finished. After sending them back three times to get them to run close to the speed they did when I first got them, I have settled for a solid 79-80 mph under normal Summer conditions. Set up for a poker run with a full tank of fuel, four adult passengers, cooler etc.. it will run between 78-79 mph. I am not unhappy with that but I will never send off another set of props that are performing that well again. Live and learn. From all I have seen and heard 78 mph seems to be a good gps speed for this combination. Good luck!
