BROTHERS> I FEEL YOUR PAIN. I REMEMBER THE DAYS WHEN
FUEL WAS <1.50, INSUARNCE WAS A SMALL DETAIL AND SLIP FEES WHERE <200.00 A MONTH. NOW FUEL IS LIKELY TO GO TO 4.00 PER GAL, INSURANCE FOR 525s IS 6K PER YEAR AND A SLIP WITH A SLING IS +400.00 PER MONTH. NOT TO MENTION THE COST OF THE BOAT.

That is just absurd - that place is just putting their hand in your pocket - bunch of pigs. My marina is absolutly gorgeous and the high and dry was $3165 last year and a lift was $4000 for the entire year - 12 months. I wish you the best in selling it and whatever comes next in your life. All I can say is we are all feeling the pinch and I may not be so far behind you.

Tough times to sell.
More people will be selling because of the higher cost to operate.....gas for instance
Less people will be buying because of the higher cost to operate....again, gas.
Those selling will take a big hit.
Those buying will get a good deal.

I suspect these 28 foot wave crushers will start to become a lot more popular, as they are a lot more feasible for people to store, run, and insure.
Buy a lakehouse and a 28 something and never look back.

Sorry to hear you guys are sellin....I've got one for sale but for an entirely different reason...need to sell my 29' fever and the wifes 20' SeaRay...ever since I bought my Nor-Tech she seems to think it's her turn to get a bigger boat... I pity you guys with Marina rates like that it would make me seriously think about the pluses and minuses of having a boat, but the only way to go is like TexomaPowerboater said, find a lake house and never look back...
Good Luck to all....
