The one I am referring to is a 95 ( I just meant newer than the one we were talking about), with 502's it's loaded out though, generator, bunch of other stuff, just about every time we rafted up with them he was telling me about the long list of things that didn't work properly or were broken/missing on the boat. Just about every time I would comment to my wife later on what a shame it was for them to own (outright) a boat like that and treat it like such sh*t. Maybe it's just his boat or the rebuilds that are slow(er)

Either way, I'm about 8' shorter with 70 less HP and I run about 62 in perfect conditions. Not that the hulls are comparable or anything.......

Yeah, the thing is, this boat (the one the OP is talking about) only has 365HP per. On a 38' boat I would consider that borderline under-powered. Not that you can't still have fun with it though.

Keytime, this also validates my point. Also, I was referring to a 95 model fountain.

Gotcha.

I'd want a better deal on it if it's borderline under-powered, that's for sure. Leave a little room to invest some hp in it.

With that power you would be lucky to see 57 mph on the gps and thats if it had some bravo 24's on it! Im seeing 64 mph on the gps in 2-3 foot swells offshore and i have the 502's with 24's ....
