1990 38' Fountain Fever
 

Pardon my obsessive boat-searching...

but is anyone familiar with this boat at LOTO? I pulled up a bunch of old posts on here but didn't find any particulars. Price seems reasonable on it. Waiting for details.

Seems like a lot of boat with not much motor (relatively speaking of course).

Any idea what top speed could be expected from this boat?

High 60's, maybe 70.

Ahhhh, I don't know about 70.........;)

If you were directing that question to me, I would guess closer to low 60's. A poorly set up (newer) 38 Fountain with 502's (Arizona speed kits) will run low 70's. At least, that is what the people we go out with run.

I was at that place in July, but I was checking out another boat.

Is that a newer Fountain w/ steps? My friend's '99 42' Fountain does 80 with twin 500hp engines. Seems like a newer stepped 38 would get to 80 with the same power. Maybe I'm missing something. Clue me in.

365hp 454 mags and Bravos should push that boat to mid 60's I would think (assuming that everything is in good working order).
