Most if not all of the new Fountain staggered 35's are running 1.35 gear ratio. According to the pics Shogren posted the props look like 5 blade Maximus. I would like to know the pitch. To reach the triple digit speeds he is reaching he needs the 1.35 gear and a pretty tall prop. At least a 32 pitch if not higher with the 5 blade props. I am sure the 600's will walk away from the same hull with 525's. It has got to be an awesome ride. I wonder how the 600's handles the mufflers?

Your right didnt look at the website for Shogren. They are Maximus. I know you can get Silent Choice exhaust on the 600 sci, so maybe those mufflers would hurt it at all. Just a shame to silence a sweet sound.

Here are the facts:
2008 35' Fountain ICBM w/staggered stock 525's
7" Latham standoff boxes
Speedmaster 2" shorty lower units
1/2 spacers added
Herring 32" 6 blade props
GPS recall reads 107 mph (low fuel and one person on board)
On the test run at Fountain factory we personally witnessed 105.5 on the GPS with three grown men on board and over 20 gallons of gas in the tanks. The boat had gas in it when we got there and we watched them add 10 gallons in each tank.
This boat had full cabin trim with all of the accessories. It was not a stripped down boat. In fact, we took it home that day.
An interesting fact that was hard to believe at first. This boat gets better gas mileage running at WOT than it does at cruising speed. But, stop and think about it. You are covering a lot of distance at these speeds in a short period of time.
This is one awesome boat!
