Boats sits higher on leaf spring trailers.
Mine's on a leaf spring trailer right now, and it fits under a 7' door with about 1" to spare. An 8' door would be a huge modification to my garage, the whole header beam over the door would have to change.

I don't anticipate keeping my boat in the garage during the boating season, but it's nice to be able to keep it in there during the winter. If i'm just pulling it into the garage in the winter and out in the spring, I can let the air out of the tires and strap the suspension down. The military does that to get trucks on planes, no reason I can't use the same technique! I can also get my boat lower on my trailer if I need to by taking a couple of inches off the bunks. I could probably do the same if I upgraded to a 32' or a 35', it's just a question of whether it would be enough to get it in the garage. Or, maybe I could take off the windshield.

Just a what-if right now though, it'll be at least a few years before I can afford to upgrade boats. With gas prices where they're at, I'm glad I only have one engine to feed.

I had to raise my header also, Wasn't a really big job. I had 1' spacers above the header to the bottom of the truss. Jus tpopped them out and slide the header up. Gable end, so not a load bearing wall. All work was done form the outside. Didn't even fugged up the drywall.

If you doend up with a 32 at some time, one on a torsion 'might' fit under a 7' door. Be close. Also if it has a fairing, that is good for a couple inches of savings, over th plexy glass w/s with the deflector.

I have a friend and customer that just told me he is interested in selling his 32 fever. It is a 1996 and it is in great shape. It has 360 hours on the hull and around 50 hours on the motors. Someone did a bad job on winterizaton and froze both motors. The boat sits on a Roadrunner triple axel trailer and he is looking to get 55,000 to 56,000. If you are interested you can call me and I will hook you up to work the deal. He was going to send pictures and I will post them as soon as I get them. I have done all the service on this boat the last two years. My number is 717 575 1840.
