HI PJ,
As far as the interior goes, any good automotive or boat interior shop can re do the interior for much less than it would cost to go to Fountain. I had a 32' Spectra re upholstered in the cockpit and carpet in the cabin for $3500.00 and it looked great.

The engine could cost a minimum of $2500 to R&R the heads and replace head gaskets, or $5K-$10K worst case if they pull the engine and tear it down and re-assemble. ($10K if there is something really major, ie bent rods, cracked block etc.)

do the contract if the seller will. Best case: good deal and it's fixed. Worst case: hassel but you're covered.

I'm going to run it by him. I'm not trying to rape him on it, but don't particularly want to be raped myself if I can help it.

I'll let you guys know how it pans out.

Thanks again.

Well PJ, the 38SC out in Ohio is up on the auction site. Starting bid at $25k.

So much for the broker disclosing what he already knows. :(

Amazing.

I just asked them through Ebay about the wood rot.

Someones going to be very disappointed when they show up to take delivery, that is for sure.

They should be ashamed.

Ooops, if you look down towards the bottom of the page they have the survey, other damages and other pictures included.

Looks like one of the motors has a few bad cylinders too (WAY low compression).

I think considering the situation they did they best anyone could do in describing the boat.

So , what was the blocks for , bow lift????????????? . I painted the interior of my fountain with SEM vinyl paint and it came out great, you have to clean it really good to get the paint to stick. It will not hold up but is a bandage. and buys some time. People could not believe it was painted.

Fifth time, the blocks are NOT in the boat. If you look closer, you can see that they are up against the garage wall. :cool-smiley-011:

I just checked it out they had pics of the rot and engine compression numbers, I could not get the survey to come up though. Looks like there trying to tell all they know if the survey is acually posted.

Treads did you ever check out the one on speedwake?

Survey opens as a PDF document. It isn't all that flattering (I was there):(

Not yet. Didn't want to get too much into actually viewing until I get someone interested in my Formula for sale. Have someone coming Thursday evening to look at it, we'll see. Keeping fingers crossed.
