Default 35 Executioner new props report

Well, I bought Viper TTs 32 Maximus 5 blades last winter. They were lab finished by Brett at BBlades. The vipe had a 2005 35 lightening twin step 525s running 1:50s and I have a 04 Single step running 1:65s and 496s.

With the 32 Stock Bravos I was running 49 at 3500 and 54 at 3850 and 60 at 4100. Full throttle bumped the rev limiters.

With the 32 lab Max I am at 54 at 3500 and 60 at 3850 so depending on the RPM range I have gained about 4 to 5 MPH in the mid range.

Top end is about the same - 80 on the GPS at 5100 but no longer on the limiters.

Stern rides a lot higher so I am now running at around 4 on the trim to get the beak up but it handles really nice and just flies across the top. Definately a worthwhile investment just incase anyone was considering it.

I went thru that whole process with mine. I settled
for stock 30 maximus & picked up an incredibile 10
mph in the mid range. Lost about 2 on the top end.
Had them labbed & went down to a 5 mph gain in the
mid & still lost 2 up top.

Who did the lab work for you? what were you running before the Maxes?

10 in the midrange with a loss of 2 up top - I would have been thrilled with that. How was the acceleration with the stock max 30s - was it better than 32 bravo or was it that long slow pull to the top end? I was measureing acceleration with a calandar on the stock 32 bravos.

5 blades made a big difference on acceleration. I also, lost some in the mid range when I had them labbed, but gained on top.

Are you saying that you run more trim now with the Maxes than you did before with the Bravos?

You know, it seems I'm running quite a bit more trim since I installed the shorties and 5 blades. I had 4 blade hydros and standard length Bravos before.

Yea - a lot more trim - like about 4 now and about 3 before - also used to run 3 on the tabs and not running any tab now - really, these things have made a huge difference. The more I run them the better I like them - seems like I am burning quite a bit less fuel doing the same things.

Active shack told me I would notice the difference at the fuel dock and he was right.

They probably generate more heat than the bravos and they do weigh a bit more but i dont have a tendancy to run the boat real hard and I'm not throttleing the hell out of it either. I would bet that they probably put more stress on the drives than the bravos but they must be balanced right as they run smooth as silk with no viration. I change the fluid every 40 hours.
