Looks like they were rebuit with 9:1 compression. No need for race gas.

I just looked at this boat on Thursday this week.
The engine bay definitely has been done right and looks good. BUT, the boat is riddled with spider cracks on most of the upper surfaces, all over the bow, around the rub rail, and other stress points like around the engine hatches, grab rails etc.

For me the boat wasn't that clean, the cockpit vinyl that was replaced in 96, will work but is basically in need of replacement, the cabin is clean but needs a lot of work, the porta-potti area needs help.
The trailer is wrapped in a snap on vinyl type cover, and is fairly corroded, but solid.

It really depends on what you are looking for, I know the boat is older, but I think it would look a lot cleaner if the owner spent a little time maintaining some of the cosmetic stuff.
The labels on the cockpit switches are hand written in pencil.

Like I said it depends on what you are looking for, my 2c.

You are right that is one sharp 12 meter. I really like the 10 and 12 meters before Reggie added a molded in swim plat form.

Thanks for the update. Just a reminder, that boat is about 20 years old, it's priced pretty fair for what it's got. Noone can expect to get something that's in pristine condition at that price. You could'nt duplicate the boat for what he's asking for it. Not leining either way toward it, but rather looking at it from both sides point of view.

I kinda thought that the boat looked kinda nice from the pics that I seen of it, I am kinda partial to that "Ol school" look without the molded in swim platform. Don't really care for the old style interior tho.
Did he say what kind of speeds it ran?? and what was the hp?

Thanks Frank.

10X I hear what you are saying, I think the difference for me is you can still polish the chrome bits and keep them nice, not in this case all green and corroded. You can still clean the transom around the drives and keep it looking good. Little effort to wipe out storage areas, re attach vinyl etc. All I am saying is that if this was my boat I would be looking after it a lot better and that is what I am looking for in an older boat. Unfortunately this one has been left for so long cleaning maintenance wont get it back, it needs to be reworked.
BTW - Speed is low 80's didnt get info on HP.

Here is another one that could be a good deal if you have some engines sitting around!
