It's just the way the graphis look on the boat. Kind of hides the beak. Look hard at the picture on the right - the beak lives.

Nope, If I remember right the beak was bobbed off when this one was being rigged and tested for the big speeds. Remember something about creating a little too much lift. Look again, it is not a full beak there. |
