im in need of a prop not sure which some help would be greatly appreciated so here goes it is a 461 cubic inch chevy 500 horsepower with an 1.5 bravo what pich and what style of prop long story short old motor out and new motor in ive got a 28 bravo and a 27 hydromotive please help

what yr 27, and rpms you run? If its a newer 27 than a bravo one will be best. Try a stock 26p first....not sure you will be able to swing a 28p.

its a 92 and not sure on rpms cause i dont have right prop to try i had a 27 hydro on it it was a dog ouotta the hole and then after it got up it would blow the prop out till it cought up it runs 39.8 mph at 3200 with the 27

Mirage plus 25p would be a good start. You have a low X on a '92 hull. I had a 29 '92, tried every 4 blade I could get my hands on, and never came close to the 3 blade for overall performance and top speed.

Hello, I Have A 1994 27 Fever With A 512 In Mine And I Run A Brovo 28p With Some Cupping On It And It Works Great. A Little ****y Out Of The Hole But That Is Where My Trim Tabs Help. Great On The Top End I Can Run It About 5600-5800 Rpm . Hope This Will Help You Out.i Got Some Props That Did Not Work On Mine If You Have Any Idea What Pitch You Might Need I Can Check To See If I Have One

OK 500 HP is not enough for a 27 Hydro, you need a 25 hydro, and no matter what prop you put on it, will be slow out of the hole, unless you really under prop it and loose top end.

Make sure you are putting your k-planes down and drive all in when planning off.

fountainman what carb and intake are u runnin on ur 512 and what heads to turn it 5600 sounds like ur gooin the same direction i would like and what mph u get outta the 28 cause i have one of those boat used 2 have blown 540 in it

26 bravo if you can swing that. I got a 92 27. The 27 hydro is not right for that boat in my opinion. You should contact b blades and see if you can get a 26.

ive got an 01 29 with a 502 mag efi I put heads, rockers and exhaust and PCM program and I swing a 27 hydro to 5100.....but does blow out on accell in rough water. I think Im gonna try a bravo 26 or 28. My X dim is higher Im sure tho! Im assuming I have around 500hp.

so i tried a 28 bravo at 5000 rpm it runs 68 mph and is a slug outta the hole couldnt trim it much it was way to ruff so im thinkin about a 26 to get the rpms up hey fountain man do u have a 26
