Need Fountain Interior
I have a 29' F1 boat that I want to put interior in. Does anyone have any suggestions on installing an interior? Has anyone bought interior items direct from Fountain? What kind of luck have people had with local upohlstry shops?

I just had part of the engine hatch redone by an independent shop. The front part with the head rest. Looks ok, but far from the looks of the original. Fountain interiors look great on the showroom floor, but the seams are to tight for every day use! I think every Fountain I have seen, all have the seams pulling on the rear seat and also on the hatch head rest. Just appears they make things to tight and not enough give for use. Look, but don't sit!

I have to agree, the seems are very tight, the first summer my lighting bolt hatch, a piece of stich pulled and tore the material. Had it at Fountain for the races and they fixed it for me.

I just replaced the rear seat skin with a new factory one from Grand Prix Marine. The old one had numerous seam splits. It fit perfectly. The stitches were doubled and much stronger than the original and there seems to be more "give" in the material

My rear seat bottom also is going to need to be replaced by next winter. Damn tight stitching. Must be job security for someone. How much was just the bottom skin?

US1 Fountain-
The seat bottom skin was aroud $300 delivered. It took about 2 weeks to get. It is a really easy job to replace yourself ( as I did).
The only special thing that you need is 1/2" stainless staples ( available at west marine, home depot, etc. Box is around $17.00.
I took digital pics of the seat before I removed the old skin and market the outline of the skin on the bottom of the plywood around the edge and where the seat tufts go threough with a pen to use as a template. Took about 1 hr to do.

the re-upohlstry looks easy to do. but i need all the wood pieces also. i have no rear seat or interior because it's an F1 boat. it'd be nice to find some templates for the wood pieces.
