Default Quad 38 Center Console

Hi, just wondering if there are anything to "look for" on the 38-foot fish boats? I mean if there are any weak points, special equipment that is great to have, etc.

I am trying to find the best boat/motor/year/price combination for one guy here who might be ready for a boat like that. I think the quad 300 set-up is so cool, that there is no point buying anything else, but is there any downsides of this package?

Other suggestions to which boat/engine package that is to reccomend?

Thanks!

2006 38TE with trip 275's...love the boat!

Options I would HAVE TO HAVE:
Aux fuel tank
Electric Bolster seats

No downside to the 300 Verado's they are proven. My 275's at the time were the top of the line and they run the boat very nicely.

I have been on a quad 38TE...they just run faster and use more fuel.

Quad set-ups get a special composite stringer system that dual and tri set-ups don't. I don't know the details, but it is supposed to be lighter and stronger.

1st I heard of this. I thought that was a $5000 upgrade cost to any 38TE.
