Default Does anyone know about this Fountain - 47'

Hey guys ...

All of your help would be appreciated! Would just like to know if anyone knows anything about this boat. If you could give me any info about the 600s too, that would be greatly appreciated. I know the difference between the '06 and the '07s, with the haul changes and the different interior. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!

We had a pair of 600's in a 38 Fountain. They ran great. Idle, and mid range was good. When we owned ours in 06, Mercury said that you must run 91 octane fuel min. Just read on their website, that they are approved for 87 octane fuel. Wish I would have know that, would have saved me a bunch of gas money. Good motors, should go 300 hrs, if maintained correctly.

Remember that 3 engines triple your maintenance costs, fuel usage, and potential problems. Triples are not very popular right now. You would be better off with twin 700sci's, but because of the market you should be able to buy this triple engine boat right. Speed difference between twin 700's and triple 600's will be negligable, but all of the other costs will be less.

Shogren had a 47 with twin Mercury 850's I think he said it ran 104 mph. Dont know about 900's but would be close to the same.

Thanks for the great info about the 600’s… That is great that they can run on 87 octane. That makes me feel a litter better about maybe getting it.

Does anyone know the history about this boat? Who had it? Why is it for sale?...

Thanks
