Default 27 fever gas tank size

I just bought a 2000 27 fever. It had some gas in it. I filled it and it didn't take that much. Does anyone know what size tank they have?

Thanks
Rob

64gallon, however your fuel gage sucks, you will be full until you are empty.

Nope. 58 gallons is listed capacity but if you take the time to completely fill the neck it's actually barely over 59 gallons.

And when the gauge reads 1/4 tank you better be at the fuel dock...many, including myself have learned that lesson over the years with the 27. After that I always filled it when it got to 1/2.

yeah, some of them had different depth sending units as i found out some time ago. mine has about 3" straw and i think some of the older ones had 5 or 6 inch which is what you're describing. mine is at about half or just below half tank when it goes to empty... sux and can't be fixed.

Wait a minute, i have an 03. You said yours is a 2000. There very well could be a difference. I bet you could link it to the "newer" style. Maybe anything with the older style window with no frame could be different. Sorry Will.

Spoke to Fountain on lots of questions regarding this boat and there are not many differences on them only suttle ones. There was not a lot of R&D put into the entry level...

I have a 1999 It has a 60 gal. tank. When the light comes on running on plane Ihave 10 gal. left. But as everyone has stated there is no warning.

Mine was a 63 gal tank.

Sounds like 1/2 the problem is that they don't use the same size tanks twice.

FYI...dont bother making it fast if your going to use it as a weekend cruiser. I put 650hp in my old 97 and could burn it out in less than an hour running it hard. I cant believe the 29 has a 100plus gallan tank. i think close to 120. why couldnt they add a bit to the 27?
