Need assistance with Lightning Upholstory

I have a 1997 Fountain Lightning which I wish to obtain new cockpit skins for. Fountain has told me they are not available anymore for my boat. Two questions, 1-I hear there is a guy near Fountain who has the patters and will make the skins for you, anyone know how to reach him?

2-Would a newer Executioners vinyl uppolstory be identical to my 1997 Fountain Lightnings?

Thank you
Dan

Very odd??? Did you just ask them for the skins or to redo the upholstery??

That being said, a good upholstery shop can deskin your upholstery, and copy it??

I am going to warn you its not cheap, I think if people knew how much upholstery cost they would take better care of it.

Call the Fountain Factory and ask to speak to Robert Tolyer.

The shape of the bolsters has changed alot, over the years. Mid 90's were more "square-ish" whereas the newer ones have more angles. The new ones are even more contoured.

I called the factory for my 91 Fever, was told that a lot of the patterns got lost in the fire at the factory. They did say they had the newer ones. JOHN

I do not know who you talked to but I think they are wrong. I took my 95 29 back to the factory and they redid mine in about 7 days. In this economy they are looking for all of the dollars they can get their hands on. Call down there again and ask for Brian Forehand. He is the plant manager and he looked after my redo. If they do not have the patterns, so what, copy your originals like they did on my 29.

A close friend of mine got skins for his entire interior and the engine hatch last summer. He has a 35, so maybe the size makes the difference. The older 35s and the newer Executioners appear to be the same.

Roger is very correct in his advice but Im not sure youll get to forehand calling about some skins. Robert Toler, Tony Vick Will help, Or keep asking about the guy thats close to them.(Although he probably wouldnt get it done as quick.)
