I could be off but seems like I remember the factory test report showing 26 Hydros running 80 at 5400 rpm WOT. He had the dealer swap to 27s when he bought it to pick up some cruising speed and get the rpms down. Can't remember what it ran after that.

mine is a 35 with fresh 502's with carbs.26 hydro's and the best i have ever seen is 75 mph.oh ya it's a 1992.

35' does almost 80mph with 496/425 HP so he's not fibbing:rolleyes:

I have a 1997 35 Fountain. Single, shallow step, 525SC motors, Bravo 1 drives with 1.5 gears, and 28" Bravo props. Runs alittle over 80 mph at about 5000 rpm.
