'04 27 Fever?
#1
Just a few questions...
1) How fast with a single 496 Mag HO stock?
2) What is the true hull length minus the beak and platform?
3) How do they ride in the chopy stuff? (We run on the Chesapeake it can be real nice or real snotty)
4) Cockpit space, is the cockpit the same as a 29? I have never ridden on a Fountain of any model. I hear a lot of the "haters" bagging on the space but in this size range I don't think there will be too much room on any single engine boat under 30'
5) What is the lenght of the V Berth?
Thanks,
Rob

And they will no doubt show up here as well.
Best thing to do is get out there and check some out, see if they fit your idea of what you want/need in a boat. I took a 27 in trade on a Sea Ray cruiser a few years back and had the chance to run it a few times before it sold. Was a 502 Mag EFI boat and I thought it handled well and was a pretty solid running boat. Don't remember exactly what it ran for speed but was fast enough to be fun to drive.
A 27 will not handle or ride like a 35, but then a 35 is not a match for a 42, just the way it is. Bigger is better is not always the case for everyone.

See if I can help,
Top speed w/496ho probably 69-71mph depending on load.
Length, its a 27', comparable ride to a 25 Baja w/o platform and beak.
27 is much smaller than a 29, 29 was originally designed for twins, cockpit is at least a foot smaller. But pretty much the same as any 25' boat. finally a 27 Fever will be a little small on the bay, but hell guys ar out there in pontoons, your just going to bounce.

I sent you a PM.
I run 76 gps in an '02 27 Fever with a 500efi, in the Norhtern Chesapeake Bay, C&D Canal and Delware River. When the northern Chesapeake gets those 4-5' short rollers you can beat up, but in any boat under 30 feet you're going to get beat up.
