I must say... I have a DDC-28 1997 model and really like it. It is built like a tank in my opinion.. It is an EX Missouri Water Patrol boat I purchased and am redoing as a project. Mine according to some reading here on OSO is either number 11 or 12 that came from Harry Schoels production run in Ohio. It is rock solid and thick. It has the original 454 Mag carb engine with nearly 1900 hours on it and runs spotless. I have all service records since inception documenting hours and maintenance.. I replaced the bravo three it originally had with a bravo 1 and she will run just at 60mph. Boat AND trailer before I added the cuddy interior and stereo system weighed in at 7325 pounds. So mine is Not a light boat. I have built a fresh 500EFI long block for it that is on the stand and am now planning on going with a blower as I want some speed out of her. Anyone familiar with these boats with 500-750 hp? Maybe 500 will be enough?

Enforcer, Get in touch w/ Paul Everett @ everettperformance.com he can probably tell you how to maximize the performance of your hull. He built it! (in ohio) And for the record Reggie had nothing to do with the ddc boats from challenger!

TY Golf.
Excellent link.. I will probably be needing some hyd. steering and it looks like he sells it. All the more reason to give him a call. Of all the boats I have been in, on drilling holes in etc. this one is the stoutest, most braced I have been around... maybe because it was built to be used for commercial (enforcement) ? She Was a plain jain though!
