Just drove a 96 38 with 800's and #3's right around 94mph. was pretty cool

b-max 1.30 ratio likely tug on the engine too hard!!! 1.50 multiplies torque better, free up that power band and let the engine unload a bit better... however, you'll likely experience better plaining and mid range performance with that ratio (1.30)

Ive repowerd Quite a few of thease boats & it seams they all have power points where they get stuck & need alot more power to increase MPH

The Wazzup Super Vee 38 had 750s and Bravos, (for a very short time ) and ran in the 130's.

To bad my old 1998 fever doesn't have big steps, high X and staggerd motors !

It is pretty amazing what an impact hull tech has had on performance. The new 42 race boats are about 7 mph faster than ours.
