Default 42 Fountain class leader at LOTO...

It looks like Mark (Bullhead), one of the Fountain section regulars, who has a beautifully painted 42 Lightning may have won his class at the LOTO shoot out. He held off some tough competition in his class with a 38' Donzi w/ 700's that ran 106mph and a 39 Cigarette w/ 700's who ran 105mph. Mark trapped 107mph, then backed it up with a 110mph pass, bringing home the trophy and another win for Fountain. The boat looked great - congratulations!

Saw the boat at Dick's on Friday, it's awesome. Nice run on Sunday.

Mark's boat is one of a kind. It is basically the 42 race boat bottom with a pleasure boat on top. It's spectacular, and accordingly is the current brochure boat. He has a home near the Fountain factory, and is the former owner of a beautiful 38 Donzi ZR. I think you can read between the lines.

They must all be built that way because, my factory report was the same as his - 107mph. I have also run 110.0 GPS pulling back off the limiters early in the season with a light load and ran 104 and change in Destin two weeks ago during the mid day heat, fully loaded with topped off fuel tanks.
