Whats the headroom in a 99 42 lightning? 4'10",5'0"??? anybody know? thanks

good question! I was in a 42 once but did not measure it... felt smaller than my 35-7...

my wife is 5'0". she can stand up in a Formula 353 or 382. we looked at a 35 X, no way can she stand up/ I'm guessing 4'10" in a 35X. I'm just looking at all 42's in general but thats the year/years I can afford....1999 to mabey 2002

In my 35 I have plenty of head room with the hatch open, plus the view is great. In a 42 you get 2 hatches which means double the possibilities. These are performance boats ..... translation ..... drive it, put up with the lack of amenities and enjoy it for what is was ment to be.

Would you buy a Z06 Corvette for the wife to take the kids to soccer practice? It's real close to the same deal here.
