Thanks for all the nice comments...no doubt Shogren will continue to do well in the marine industry for many years.

While I haven't purchased a boat from Scott I have had the chance to interact w/ him & his staff on several occassions both personally & professionally. As stated 1st class!!

Mark what power does your 42PR have in it?

It's funny how things change...I sold Scott his Active Thunder 28' Savage about 10 years ago negotiating for every dime!!!!.....and then he turns into one of the biggest boat dealers around. Hell of a job Scott! Congrats!

I purchased a boat 3 years ago from these guys and had a very good experience as well. Helped me out with my trade and would recommend.

I was at Shogrens new facility a few days ago. You just would'nt believe how big of a setup he has going for him and his crew. The giant parts room, the work shop area, and the service bays to perform the work is just un-phuckin-believable !! Everything is kept so clean, it seems like you could eat off the floor nomatter where you go in the facility.

I'm really sorry I forgot my camera, I'd like to share what I saw with the rest of you guys. Next time I'll take some pics for sure.

A somewhat different perspective

No reason at all to doubt of all your praises.
As a matter of fact, that's the main reason why I emailed Greg a couple of days ago asking for some parts and suggestions related to a winter project on my boat.

BUT, I got no reply at all so far.
Therefore, at the moment my impression is that they're maybe very responsive, but only with punters interested in purchasing big boats?
...and if so, they're not so different from the large majority of dealers, imho!

well I guess the only way to find out is to put a request in on a NEW 47' with 850's and start the timer. I can tell you that they are getting hit with snow right now and I am sure a MAD rush of boats to be winterized and stored. rest assured you will like dealing with Shogrens. Don't matter if your buying a T-shirt or a new 48 express cruiser you are a customer to them and they treat customers good.:coolcowboy:

I would just call...

email is no longer such a reliable way to communicate -- your message could easily be magically put in some spam filter. Or perhaps their email box is like mine -- a hundred a day! Pretty easy to miss the first email from a new customer.

I'd call them, then email them, to be sure you are getting into the right email box.

They certainly respond quickly to me by email, and I still have not bought anything from them!

LOL, yeah, I'd love to do that. :coolcowboy:
Though actually I'd rather go for a 42 with V10 Ilmors, if I had a choice...
I see your point, anyway. No hurry from my part, I'll see if they come back in the next days, before eventually calling.
