I'm leaving in 10 mins to go to Lake Michigan to rock on that 42 Signature for my first time. I had a failed attempt yesterday as I forgot to check my jump box for its charged status, DOH! I bought all new batteries and that MoFo better run like the wind blows here in about an hour or else. I'll let you boys know how it goes.

Hey Chad,
Hope you had a good run today. I haven't seen you on the board lately. I kind of figured you were working on the boat. I just finished my drive project. I need to do a little maintenance and should be ready to splash next weekend for a river shake down. The dash will have to wait until I have a slow week.

First, I have been a little abscent from the board, my new house, and finishing my rental house(I know I wont work on it when the boat is ready). But the weekend boat ecstravaganza was not to be. " It was checked over and is ready to go!". That was my first mistake. So after an overheat on port, a no start on center, and a rough runner on starb, Saturday evening was not good. All while Kris sat there, " Do you know I have been sitting here for 2 hours, the truck is still running you know, are we going yet, I thought you said this was all ready to go, do you know what you got yourself into. Blah Blah Blah! This all while I tried not to blow a gasket myself about the boat, or not throw her in the freezing water. After diving into the engine compartment to do an overheat status check to be almost knocked out by the radar arch. I surprised myself that day, I didn't sware once, I didn't yell at Kris, I didn't peal out, throw a tool or anything. I was as quiet as a church mouse. Though I could have left that Ghetto Ride there on Saturday. But after cooling off and returning Sunday, I put new water pump impellers on all three, new spark plugs in, some minor wiring revisions, and one cooling leak, I had all three motors purring on the Big Girl by 7pm Sunday night.

Chad,
I'm sorry to hear of your problems. It was much better now than SOTW weekend. I took "baby" out today. Ran the river for awhile. I now have a new problem. Before I was getting the water pickups out of the water now I have the new Fountain syndrome. Pegged water pressure gauges. I need to by some water dumps and should be ready to go.

I am dying to go for a run. Were hoping to go out on Friday. The boat sounds great now. Its a little bigger outside hooked to my truck than it seemed in the shop. I cant wait. I'm glad there wasn't anything major wrong with her, not a way to start the season. Meat(pocket change) is out doing me, he signed up for Auto Top in Holland to put in all new interior, Red Blue and Grey, it will be hot. Thank goodness for early drops, a little time to work out the kinks.
Tinker- I bought my boat through TAG, but I was right there for the deal, we bought it from another broker, and he was the one one that said it was perfect. But I bought it right, I can wrench pretty good, and Tom would have helped me if there were something really wrong.

Ran the Big Dog yesterday. It was fun, it ran great. It definately ran better on idle and all around after I had a chance to lean on the sticks a little. I went full tilt down Spring lake and back in Grand Haven. It was a little cold for the big lake. Sorry to all who live there, I just had a little memory lapse about that no wake for 26' and up(no boats are in, and no one was even out
). I half to say I looked like a rookie trying to handle that in the wind around the docks on my first trip, I will have to practice a little here before the season starts. There's a little bow hangin out there for the wind to play with. But it was fun and it went great.
